Driftwood Radio
Driftwood Radio is a virtuosic exploration of melodic and rhythmic fragments, influenced by flamenco, blues, tango, and imaginary folk music traditions. The performance includes complex guitar compositions, existential lyrical impulses, and boomerang loop arrangements.
Guitarist Miles Pearce has studied classical, jazz, folk and popular styles, Hindustani classical music, flamenco, Brazilian samba, Argentine tango, South Indian Karnatic vocal music, West African rhythms, composition, music theory, ethnomusicology, and experimental music. |
Wicked OldeWicked Olde is a Northern Virginia acoustic musical group comprised of Tim Noone, Ray Sheehan, Heather Butler and Brigitte De Haven. Our sound may be best described as "eclectic. Very, very eclectic." And old. From Big Walter Horton to Hank Williams (Sr.), Jackson Browne to Bill Monroe, George Gershwin to Gordon Lightfoot, Bluegrass to Blues, Pop to Folk, Old-timey and Appalachian standards that'll make you nostalgic to lively Celtic jigs and reels that'll blow your sox off. If it's olde, we probably do it . . . and do it wicked goode.
