Our History

We started small 40 years ago and gradually grew with the community. Today’s award winning bi-annual festivals center around the Juried Art Show, along with entertainment for the whole family. Great food and some of the best local wines are becoming a larger attraction each year. Entertainment is diverse and reflects the melting pot of tastes found in Central Virginia. From Southern Gospel to Cello and Flute duets to rock and roll… The classic and cutting-edge appear on our stage. The twice yearly our festivals serve to fund the growth and upkeep of our very own Crozet Park.

Since 1958, the twenty-two acre Claudius Crozet Park has been a centerpiece for the Crozet community. Our park has beautiful views of the Blue Ridge Mountains and is a recreational facility open to all. We pride ourselves in providing a beautiful setting for families to gather for various activities and sporting events. Our facilities include a one acre lake, the largest outdoor community pool in the area (now featuring year round swimming), soccer, baseball and T-ball fields, youth tennis courts, a large picnic pavilion, and two playgrounds. Trail building around and connected to the park is taking place through The Crozet Trails Crew- which will link our park to many areas around town.

Crozet is a unique combination of historic and working farms coexisting with modern day home developments. What started out as a Native-American trail – Three Notch’d Road – evolved into a contemporary culinary, artisan and local food trail featuring great artists and blossoming wine and craft beer venues- all set within a picturesque mountain valley. We are a dedicated growth area set on retaining its country charm and values of the arts above all.
